‘Neighbourhoods’ is a collaborative effort between residents, voluntary and community sector (VCS) organisations, and service providers. Staff from primary care services (GPs, dentists, and pharmacists), Homerton Hospital, as well as adult and children Community Mental Health and Social Care services, have pledged to enhance cooperation across organisations and with local communities.

In each Neighbourhood, teams have been established to deliver care and support closer to residents’ homes and improve coordination across services. Each Neighbourhood is developing its own network, to facilitate the sharing of information, skills, and resources, fostering greater collaboration between health care services, community and voluntary organisations, and residents.

These networks are known as Neighbourhood Forums. Hackney Council for Voluntary Services (HCVS) is at the forefront of developing these Forums, while Healthwatch Hackney (HWH) collects insights from residents through outreach activities, supporting them to participate in the Forums.
